Amendments – Changes:
All Amendments – changes, are free of charge and can be made before the start of the rental. MUST be made in writing, emailed to [email protected] or faxed to +30 2310 239120, or by phone at: +30 2310 223222 and will take effect from the date and time received by Poseidon Car Rentals. (Please do not forget to include your reference number)
We cannot refund any unused days or part days if the vehicle is returned early on any rental.
Cancellation Policy:
Free of Charge for Cancellations made 48 hours before the rental start date.
Cancellations MUST be made in writing, emailed to [email protected] or faxed to +30 2310239120, or by phone at: + 30 2310 223222 and will take effect from the date and time received by Poseidon Car Rentals.
No refunds will be given for rentals ended early.
Extension:
Extension of a booking in rental can be made by contacting us. Extensions require confirmation by Poseidon Car Rentals. Rental Contract must be renewed by visiting the nearest rental station. Poseidon Car Rentals will not be held responsible for any loss, damage, injury or delay resulting in failure to honour any Reservation.
Driver Age:
Minimum Driver age is: 21
Maximum Driver age is: 75
For driver’s under 23 and over 70 restrictions may apply. Please contact us for further information
Driver Requirements :
Drivers must hold a Valid International or European Unions’ driving license for at least 12 months.
Russian driver’s licences are welcome.
All drivers must present their original driving license at the pick-up location at the start of rental. No photocopies or fax copies will be accepted and no refund will be issued due to the failure to present a valid original driving license.
The person named on the voucher (main driver) has to sign the car rental contract at the time of pick up.
Additional Driver:
Additional drivers are welcome. This Service is offered on line at the time of booking.
Additional driver is charged with a small daily cost.
Fuel Policy:
The vehicle should be returned with the same amount of fuel it was picked up with. No credit or refund will be given for unused fuel.
Rent a Car Time:
Rentals are calculated on a 24-hour period from the time of pick-up. To avoid additional charges the renter must return the vehicle at the same time as the pick up time on the agreed return date stated on this voucher. Failure to return the vehicle on the agreed return date will result in additional charges. Additional charges will be charged at the local rate (normally higher) than the promotional rates and must be paid locally. Extensions to the rental period must be notified to the rental branch to ensure continuance or vehicle insurance.
Traffic Fines:
All traffic fines and expenses incurred during the rental period, are at the renter’s responsibility.

Delivery & Collection Charges are included in our prices.

Car Capacity and Vehicle Type:
All vehicles are insured for a maximum number of passengers. PoseidonCarRentals.com cannot accept liability for the vehicle being unsuitable for all passengers and luggage. As a guide please refer to the PoseidonCarRentals.com website for approximate passenger of the car groups available. PoseidonCarRentals.com cannot accept responsibility for rentals denied at time of collection or otherwise due to the party size being too large for the vehicle.
PoseidonCarRentals.com is unable to guarantee a particular make or model of vehicle. The car shown on your voucher is for guidance only and may be substituted for an alternative similar model or upgraded vehicle.
Provision of Cars:
PoseidonCarRentals.com reserve the right to refuse to make available a vehicle to any person considered unfit to drive or who does not meet eligibility requirements.
Mechanical Difficulties/Accidents
In the case of breakdown or mechanical difficulties, you, the renter, must call Poseidon Car Rentals immediately. Poseidon Car Rentals must give authority for repairs or replacement cars. If you, the renter, are involved in an accident, the local police and Poseidon Car Rentals MUST be contacted. Keep copies of all relevant documentation you are asked to complete. This may be needed if you, the renter, wish to make an insurance claim.
Your hire of any vehicle is subject to the terms and conditions of vehicle hire imposed by the car hire company and to the corresponding laws of Greece. You, the renter, will therefore be subject both to our terms and those of the are hire company. PoseidonCarRentals.com accepts no responsibility for and shall not be liable in respect of any loss, damage, alterations, delays or changes arising from civil strife, industrial dispute, including air traffic control disputes, terrorist activity, natural and nuclear disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions, unavoidable technical problems with transport, closure or congestion of airports or ports, cancellation of scheduled airlines and financial failure of airlines.
The Terms stated are correct at the time of going to press.
Car Ferry:
If You wish to ferry Your rental car, to and from an island, You are welcome to do so. This is an optional service and is offered online for an additional cost.
Vehicle Full Theft Waiver:
Is included in our price and reduces the renter’s liability to zero excess amount in the event of theft or damages caused due to theft or attempted theft of the vehicle. Negligence connected with the theft of the vehicle may lead to the car hire company requiring the full amount for the cost of the vehicle.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW):
Collision Damage Waiver is insurance included in our price. It provides cover for damage that occurs to your vehicle itself. This means that the car you’re driving is insured, however there is always an excess.

Excess:
If you have an accident or there is damage to your rental vehicle, the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), covers the cost of the repairs, your excess is the ‘first part’ of any repair amount that you will be expected to pay yourself. The excess amount is actually a fee that is pre-authorised on your credit card to cover for charges that may not be a part of your standard insurance package, such as damage. If there is an excess amount on your rental it will be specified under the Payment section of your confirmation voucher. This will be released back on your card upon returning the car with no damage. Pre-authorisation times vary. Could be minutes, days or even a week or more, depending on a mix-and-match of elements, including the type of card you use (credit or debit), the way you used it (PIN or signature), the bank or credit union issuing the card, the merchant involved, your own history and even the day of the week. The excess range depending on the vehicle category, is: €700,00 for Mini and for Economy. €800,00 for Compact, Automatic-Economy and Compact Special. €900,00 for Full Size and Full Size – Automatic and Station Wagon. €1500,00 for People Carrier.
Full Damage Waiver :
Our Full Damage Waiver product is offered online and protects you from excess payments. In the event of an accident or damage to your vehicle you’ll be fully protected from any repair costs. (Exceptions apply, see Exceptions)
Exceptions:
Charges for any of the damages written below will be charged directly to the client, the most important are the following: Antenna, trays, damage to car lock, loss or damage to keys, windshield wipers, glass, wheels, tires, interior of the car, spare key and car jack, hubcap, lights, gas cap, damage to upholstery of a car, damages to the roof, damages caused by roof rack and any luggage on it, extreme dirtiness in a car, underside damage, personal belongings in a rented car, damage due to negligence, tire punctures and burst tires, fuel errors, damage to child seats and baby seats, lack of electricity because of forgotten turned on electrical devices, loss of car documents, loss of registration plate. The car rental company, in any case, is not obligated to replace a flat tyre or damages in music devices (radio, CD/mp3 player, etc.).
Towing costs are not covered by any insurance.
Poseidon car rentals will not refund any telephone, taxi or hotel costs.
Poseidon car rentals will not be held responsible for anyone driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, causing willful damage, off road driving, driving without care and attention or damages caused by negligence,and traffic violations.
The client will accept direct responsibility in respect of such claims.
Any unnoticed accident or damage to the vehicle may be interpreted as negligence. This may result in a charge to the client.
The CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) or the FDW (Full Damage Waiver) are not valid in case the driver of the rental car commit a trafic violation due to the Greek Trafic Code.
WUG (Wheels-Underside-Glass):
This product is an optional service and can be purchased online. Covers all damages to the above mentioned parts of the car.
Liability Insurance:
Liability is insurance included in the rental price of a hired car.
For bodily injuries per accident, up to € 1.220.000,000
For property damages per accident (excluding rented car), up to € 1.220.000,000
Out of Hours Fee:
Any ‘out of operating hours fee, if applicable, is Included in our prices.
Any deviation from the confirmed pick up/ return times on your voucher could incur extra charges, closed station or your booking treated as No Show.
Payment :
Cash, All Major Credit Cards, Cash Cards, Prepaid Cards or Debit Cards.
A Major credit card (MasterCard, Visa) must be presented as guarantee for the rental. Please note that all local payments will be made in Euro.
Website Conditions of Use:
It is prohibited for anyone to use any device or software program to directly or indirectly interface, or attempt to interface with this website, to retrieve content, and or any other data, including prices. It is also prohibited to interfere, or attempt to interfere with the normal working of this website, any activity that we consider places undue load or stress on our systems will be terminated. We constantly monitor everyone accessing our website, and any automated systems, or persons conducting a unreasonable amount of searches, with an aim to access information and/or prices will be terminated, and the blocked from our websites. Your use of the website indicates your agreement to be bound by these Conditions of Use.
Data Protection – Client Personal Data
Security Policy:
All personal information and credit card information collected by our websites goes through a secure server using 128-bit encryption to protect your information, your browser will indicate that you are using a secure server, by displaying a padlock icon at the bottom of your browser window, the padlock will display in the locked position, to indicate that you are using a secure server. This security feature is only turned on for web pages where you can view, or enter personal or payment information.
Data Protection- Information
Credit Card:
The credit card data that customers provide us are “Encoded” and are stored in a database on the Application servers and the Database servers; these are un-encoded when a booking is displayed by the reservation system. Only the IT staff have access to the database, and even in the event of loss or compromise of the database, the credit card numbers are still encoded.The only other area where credit card data is stored is the Server logs on the Application servers, we keep 31 days of Logs, every day old older than 3 days are compressed into a separate password protected file, the leaves only the last 3 days of logs that are stored and these are not compressed or password protected.
Data Protection – Customer Personal Data:
Customers’ name and address, booking details and email address are stored in the database on the Application servers and the Database servers. The data is never shared, used by, or sold to anyone outside PoseidonCarRentals.com without consent. These terms are governed by the laws of Greece whose courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
General Issues:
The confirmation voucher is only valid for the Named driver at the location of pick up as printed on this voucher and for the dates and times shown above.
All rentals are subject to standard terms and conditions of the rental agreement as signed at the time of vehicle pick up. Once the rental agreement is signed the contract is then with the car rental supplier in the place of collection.
Only the vehicle group can be confirmed and not make or model of vehicle. Specific vehicle types cannot be confirmed and will be subject to availability at the time of pick up. When a vehicle group is not available the next group of vehicle will be provided.
Any local/ government tax changes will be reflected in the amount to pay locally.
If the person specified on the voucher as the “main driver” is not stated on the local rental contract/ agreement, then the Full Damage Waiver (FDW) insurance with zero Excess becomes invalid.
